Care Friends is an independent caregiver referral service and is not a licensed home care agency. Care Friends introduces families with independent caregivers based on the family's care needs and the caregiver's experience, availability, and qualifications.

Care Friends makes reasonable efforts to review caregiver credentials, verify professional licenses or certifications when applicable, check references, and review available background information before including caregivers in our referral network. However, Care Friends cannot guarantee the future conduct, performance, honesty, availability, or actions of any independent caregiver.

All caregivers referred through Care Friends are independent providers and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Care Friends. Families are solely responsible for interviewing caregivers, verifying that the caregiver is a good fit, confirming credentials, requesting additional background screenings if desired, checking references, supervising care, negotiating pay, and entering into any agreements directly with the caregiver.

By using Care Friends, families acknowledge that they are making the final hiring decision and accept responsibility for their independent selection. Care Friends is not responsible or liable for injuries, accidents, negligence, theft, property damage, disputes, employment matters, tax obligations, insurance claims, or any other loss or damages arising from services provided by an independent caregiver.

Families are encouraged to perform their own due diligence before hiring any caregiver, including conducting interviews, requesting identification, verifying certifications, obtaining additional background checks if desired, and ensuring the caregiver meets their individual needs.
